Red Tow Melbourne completed a full tiny home import, preparation, and oversized transport project, managing the entire process from wharf collection through to final delivery at a private vineyard in Heathcote, Victoria.
The prefabricated tiny home arrived in Melbourne on a flat rack shipping container and required specialist handling from the port. The unit was collected from the wharf and transported to our Brooklyn yard where the preparation phase began.
During the preparation stage, the flat rack restraints were removed, the tiny home was unpacked, and all transport components were installed, including axles, wheels, and tyres, allowing the structure to be safely moved as a rolling load.
Once prepared, measurements confirmed the structure exceeded 3.6 metres in width, classifying it as an oversized loadunder Victorian road regulations. This required route planning, permits, and a certified pilot escort vehicle.
Using our specialised SuperTilt transport trailer, the tiny home was carefully loaded and secured. The SuperTilt system allows low loading angles and stable support, which is critical when transporting prefabricated buildings that cannot tolerate chassis twist or structural movement.
The journey continued from Brooklyn to a private vineyard property in Heathcote, Victoria, with controlled speeds, clearance management, and pilot escort support throughout the trip. The delivery was completed safely and without damage to the structure or surrounding infrastructure.
